Whew! Christmas has come and gone, and now i'm ready to embrace the new year! I am now a proud owner of my first pair of rain boots, which is terrible since I've been living in rainy WA for over 15 years! I'm just a really picky soul... but these have caught my attention, not to mention it was a lovely Christmas gift from my sister! ♥

Random Rant Wednesday: Holiday Cheer

Hello my lovelies, today is going to be a little different. I haven't gotten a chance to put together an outfit post but I promise it is coming! I am one of those last minute shoppers and now Christmas is less than a week away! Have you finished your list?

I love the month of December. Not only does everyone get into the Christmas cheer (minus some Grinches) but the mood just seems so uplifting. And humanity shows its true colors -- it shows the ability for people to help those less fortunate. It's truly a beautiful thing.

My friends and I gathered together this past weekend to not only celebrate each other and Christmas, but we came together to collect toys for a fantastic program called "Toys for Tots." I believe that every child should experience Christmas and enjoy the holiday cheer, and I really hope that those toys we collected will make some child's day!

Mixing Up Blues

Hi Dolls! It's been one heck of a week and I am so glad its Friday! :) Yay for sleeping in and relaxing! Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, I'm a very conservative shopper, I enjoy buying things on sale and seeing how much I can save so if there is a piece on here that you like, please contact me and we can search the internet together! :) I am a huge fan of Macy's because half the time I can find things there that are dirt cheap. It just takes a lot of time and patience. Hey, some people like to relax by going to the gym, I prefer to walk around the mall and daydream of outfits. :)

Happy Sunday! The weather man is predicting snow this week for us. I'm excited and looking forward to a white Christmas but at the same time, I really do miss summer. Time to unpack all my winter gears and get ready for some snow!

This weekend has been a great weekend for me. Last night, my coworkers hosted a Christmas party for all of us and let me just say, its so wonderful to work with great people. I work in the mortgage industry and I've never seen so many stressed out people let loose and just have a great time. I mean what are the holidays for? I'm very blessed to be working in an environment where I actually enjoy going to work even if I sometimes feel like a corporate robot working 8-5. 

Before I venture completely off topic, this was the outfit I wore to our holiday party. It was inspired by the beautiful Miss Addie off of instagram (@hiaddie). I never really like the idea of high waisted skirts, but she puts them together so well that I was inspired to give them a try. They are so elegant and perfect for all occasions!

Glitter collar and glitter skirt

I woke up this morning thinking it was Friday, and how excited I was to sleep in tomorrow... Well surprise surprise.. It's only Wednesday! Bummer... It makes me that more excited for Friday!

Today, I paired this adorable glitter peter pan collared shirt with this fabulous white skirt littered with gold dots, definitely a potential holiday outfit. One thing I love about black stockings and black shoes is they just tie the look together and add a touch of elegance. Plus, it keeps you warm during cold winter days! Normally, I pair these two together when I want to wear a cute dress or a short skirt but keep it work appropriate.

Happy football Sunday to all my football lovers out there! I can't say I'm a die hard fan but I do watch football, and I do root my hometown on, SEAHAWKS! But right now, I prefer to post. :)

Holding onto Summer..

Hi my loves! Again, I know I am terrible at updating... Its been raining non-stop here in WA, permanent darkness and wetness. But welcome to December! I can't believe how quickly this year is moving along... My mindset is still in summer... so I haven't packed away my summer wardrobe quite yet. Heart shape stockings

Happy Thanksgiving my loves! The turkey has been prepped and is basking in the oven, the family is lounging around watching football, and the house is starting to smell like a feast! I can't wait to eat, my stomach is already growling.

Today I decided was a perfect day to start prepping myself for holiday dresses and cute stockings. Its the start of holiday festivities and I chose a little plum dress to start it all off...
