Polka dot and neon

I should be asleep right now... but I took a longer nap today then I planned. It was meant to be a 15 minute power nap and then I was going to to the gym, but that 15 minutes quickly turned into 3 hours..

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm not much of a purse girl. I like to be on the go as quickly as possible and while a purse is both functionally & stylish, it just isn't my cup of tea. So anything with pockets  is the perfect piece for me, hence this wonderful skirt. :)  

I had a blast this weekend. I haven't planned a surprise birthday party in so long but I finally did this week and it went according to plan. Everyone came on time and the birthday boy was beyond surprised. I even got a little creative with the cake and some extra desserts thanks to pinterest (follow me here) ! We got this adorable cake stand from the dollar store and made Dark Chocolate Whiskey Cupcakes with Whiskey Ganache & Whiskey Buttercream Frosting. It was absolutely tasty. 

Can't forget the fruit jello shots...
