Christmas Day

Merry Christmas sunshine!! :) I couldn't be happier with all that has happened this year and am so thankful for the people that have come into my life, including my followers who are now my friends!

We didn't have a white Christmas here in WA but that's ok, tomorrow morning I'm jetting off to Michigan to join my boyfriend and his family and to search for some snow. I can't wait! I love seeing how other families celebrate Christmas and I love picking up on new traditions.

We celebrated last night at my house, then my boyfriend flew out this morning and now, we are all relaxing after church. That is what the holidays are all about, spending quality time with the ones you love most. :)

Forever young

It's so important to have a solid group of friends who support and love you in all  that you do. And I am glad to say I have just that! My girls and I have been through so much since high school that I can't wait to see where the future will lead us.

Each year we get together to celebrate Christmas and use the holiday as another excuse to hang out and have a good time. I don't know what it is about onsies but they are always fun, no matter what age you are. :) 

A Christmas Surprise!

Christmas is probably my favorite time of the year, and probably the only time where it can be this bitter cold outside! I mean there are lights everywhere, everyone is in a jolly mood and Christmas music to be heard, what's not to love? Unless you are the grinch... Then I'm sorry.

This has got to be my best surprise yet. My boyfriend loves to wander down memory lane and tell me all about his friends back home in Wisconsin, so there was no doubt in my mind that this gift would make him beyond happy. I decided, along with his two best buds to fly them to WA for the weekend. And let me tell you, there was so much laughter and excitement I thought my face was permanently frozen with a smile. The sweetest and funniest boys I've met and the joy on Cole's face when he saw them was priceless. It was one of the best weekends.

We've been planning this for quite some time and it was so hard to hold this secret! He even caught me texting one of his friends one day, but it's good thing he didn't look into it too much. Getting to the airport without him knowing was the challenge... So I made him promise to be blind folded til I said otherwise. He was not a happy camper....

A Ray of Sunshine

It is so tempting to just stay in bed and watch Netflix all day, especially when the weather feels like its below freezing! I just started "Sons of Anarchy" and all I have to say is that I am glad I waited to watch it! It's so addicting that I don't think I could have waited a week for the next episode. I guess you can say that's the impatient side of me. 

My boyfriend, who is from the Midwest even claims its cold, so I promise I am not just being a pansy. It is the coldest WA has been in 15 years! Where is the snow?! That is all I'm waiting for.

Lately I've been living in oversize sweaters and cardigans, scarves, thick socks and boots. That pretty much sums up my wardrobe, unless it's a holiday party I refuse to wear anything but. :)

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours!

Hey dolls! I hope your thanksgiving was as successful as ours! I have so much to be thankful this year, that I am overwhelmed with happiness just thinking about it! It's so hard to get the gang together with our hectic schedules so the holidays are the best!

We celebrated our day at my sisters new house in Camano Island right on Port Susan. Congratulations to them!! We had so much fun getting together, cooking, drinking and stuffing our faces. And now, I am in a food coma... 

Also, we are celebrating my mom's birthday! Happy birthday to the most important lady in life! The person who holds me down, inspires me and loves me unconditionally. I love you!

Autumn Days

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween my loves! I wanted to write a post before I head out and wish you all a safe and wonderful Halloween! I can't wait to see all the costumes and inspirations tomorrow! Here's what we did both at work and at home.

The kiddos in my house. Such happy babies! We find our inspiration on Pinterest, and making tutus was my favorite part! 

For Robin, we cut felt for her R on the chest and used 2 rolls of green tulle (25 feet) and attached it to an elastic band. We also used black felt to cut out her and her brothers masks. 

For me, I also used 2 rolls of royal blue tulle (25 feet) to make my tutu. Found my blue long sleeve at Walmart for $7 and used felt to cut eyes and a mouth for my monster. I used the rest of the brown fabric from the cookie to make small cookies and glued it to my shirt and tutu. 

For the Cookie, I used two large poster board, cut them into cookie shape, and covered it in brown fabric. Used black fabric to make chocolate and cut two strips for the shoulder. :) 

To yummy not to share! 

While my real cookie man was at work, she was his replacement. :)

I am in love with making tutus! So any occasion I can wear or make them, I am taking. You will probably see me wear this to a seahawks game! :) xoxo

Gridlock Print

And we are only a couple of days away from Halloween… how is that possible?! Have you guys ever been told "life goes by extremely fast after high school?" I didn't believe it then but I definitely believe it now.

Which means you should wear whatever you want, however you want, whenever you want. :) This sweater I wore today was not a popular choice by my friends or boyfriend for that matter but I just fell in love with the print. So I bought it anyways! :)

Welcoming Fall

Happy Fall dolls -- here comes the layering, scarves and boots! Can't say I'm excited about the cold, but I am excited for fall fashion.

It's been getting really chilly here in WA and it's only October. At this rate, I hope we have a white Christmas! Here is what I wore yesterday.

One of my favorite things about fall are the changing colors of the leaves! I love the reds, oranges, greens and yellow that all blend together and then scatter all over the road. It's definitely giving me some inspiration for future outfits.

Boots, flannel and a concert!

Last night I was presented with the opportunity to go to my first country concert -Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, and Jake Owen came to Tacoma, WA and I've got to admit, it was a lot of fun! It was an entirely different atmosphere then I'm used to. 

I love any opportunity to dress a little outside my comfort zone and this concert was one of them. 

I've never seen so many flannels in one place before! All different styles worn all different ways! So many cowboy boots, hats and all things country. I had a blast!

Weekly round up: San Diego

When the ball dropped welcoming 2013, I never, in my wildest dreams, imagined my life would be where it is now. So much has changed and has happen that I am still amazed things have worked out this way. 

I got the call from my boss Saturday night asking if I can spend the week in San Diego to help open up a new branch... There was no hesitation about that, I gladly accepted! And that is where I have been, working long hours to help open multiple branches throughout California. Here is my weekly round up. :)

I got dropped off at the airport with a cute little love note to get me going...

Sat next to a cute older couple, holding hands and completely in love. 

Got set up in my own home away from home... (For those that know me, you probably find this humorous since you know I hardly cook.)

Outfit number 1: kept it casual with black jeans, a white blouse and blue cardigan. 

Day 2: consists of a forever 21 dress, my favorite Charlotte Russe pumps, and a teal cardigan. Rest of the week got a little hectic and I forgot to take outfit pictures. 

Long hours and lots of work but when I did get some down time I went straight to an Inn n Out! And even got to see some old and new friends. 

This adorable pup is David (made me miss my puppy so much!)

Met my boyfriend's gorgeous sister, Lindsay who lives 5 minutes away from seaworld! That's definitely on my bucketlist... And then ended my trip with more Inn n Out.

Now I'm patiently waiting for my plane back home. This week has been such a blur but look out California, I may be back next month! :) I work such an amazing crew that I can't wait to come back.
