Sunday Blues

Sundays are starting to become one of my favorite days, minus the fact that Monday is just right around the corner... It is the day I get to sleep in, lounge around, spend some quality time with my boyfriend and friends and just get my week together before it starts.

This weekend has been so packed with events that today was the first time we both have had time to  sit down and take a breather. My favorite baby cousins turned a year older this weekend and I can't believe how old they have gotten. I remember changing their diapers, and now one is headed into middle school and the other is headed into kindergarten... But it's true, they never fail to put a smile on my face. Can't wait for more addition to our families!

I love quality time with my boyfriend - it's nice to have someone who constantly has you laughing no matter what is going on in life. Today he spoiled us both with massages and capped it off with FroYo! How could it get better? We are also starting to fall in love with our neighborhod with all the hidden gems we've been finding, like this quaint little alley way.

Today's outfit is a sweet summer date day/night outfit. I am in love with this cute maxi, not just for the cut and style in the front but for the exposing back. Please excuse my tan lines, I got burnt for the first time ever this summer and it is here to stay...

 My aunt is such a boss when it comes to making cakes. I have yet to meet one person who was not satisfied with their cakes!! Here are the birthday boys in all their glory. 

Romper Love

Rompers and shift dresses have been such staple items in my closet this summer! It's just so easy to put on when you are in a rush without looking like you were in a rush... if that makes sense. 

Right now I'm loving the low back cuts in almost everything, fancy dresses, simple dresses, rompers - you name and I've probably fallen in love with it. I got ready in about 20 minutes with this romper and let's just say my boyfriend was highly impressed. This hairstyle is also my go to, especially for the mornings where sleep sounds way better than doing my hair... Got to have your go to pieces.

Let's Play Catchup!

Holy cow! The last time I did an outfit post was about 6 weeks ago... how did time move that fast?? Let's play catch up dolls.

I am now officially settled in with my boyfriend in our adorable loft. I am really happy we made this decision. The only down side to being on the top floor during a Washington summer... is the heat! It has been a consistent 90 degrees in our apartment and we've now accumulated 4 fans, and have been sleeping next to our one window... That changed today when we made the best purchase yet, a portable AC machine! I am one happy girl right now. 

Summer time means cute office outfits! I've had to downsize my closet drastically when we moved in together, I mean who knew sharing a closet would be so hard? But I did find things that I have forgotten about, including this cute striped shirt. :)

A Little Pep in My Step

And Washington has finally hit the 60's!! Well at least for today and I couldn't have been happier. It's the little things that count and right now, the weather hitting 60 degrees is making my heart bounce out of its cage. 

A lot of changes are coming for me in the next 6 months, including moving out of my gorgeous place with my best friend and into my boyfriends apartment, which was such a huge decision for us both! It means I will have to down grade a lot of things, including my beloved closet and shoe collection... But I am beyond excited! I will miss this place but luckily I will be right down the street and will be bugging them weekly! :)

My current obsession for this summer are shift dresses: basic, simple and easy to put on when you are in a rush. I'm pretty sure I will be living in these this summer. I love the versatily of them, you can keep it casual or play it up. Either way, this is definitely a must have for me.

Pop of Pink: Valentine's Day Outfit 3

How perfect is that quote? 

 The other night  I asked my boyfriend what he did for past Valentines and his response was "they went to a nice dinner." The only thing that came to mind was 1) I use to work in the restaurant business and that day was awful 2) everyone does that! Which meant all restaurants are completely packed and you are crammed so close to one another, it is hard to have an intimate date… He thought my response was odd, which made me laugh because I would much rather prefer a delicious 

home made dinner. 

What would you guys prefer? Going out for dinner or a home cooked meal?

Christmas Day

Merry Christmas sunshine!! :) I couldn't be happier with all that has happened this year and am so thankful for the people that have come into my life, including my followers who are now my friends!

We didn't have a white Christmas here in WA but that's ok, tomorrow morning I'm jetting off to Michigan to join my boyfriend and his family and to search for some snow. I can't wait! I love seeing how other families celebrate Christmas and I love picking up on new traditions.

We celebrated last night at my house, then my boyfriend flew out this morning and now, we are all relaxing after church. That is what the holidays are all about, spending quality time with the ones you love most. :)

It is so tempting to just stay in bed and watch Netflix all day, especially when the weather feels like its below freezing! I just started "Sons of Anarchy" and all I have to say is that I am glad I waited to watch it! It's so addicting that I don't think I could have waited a week for the next episode. I guess you can say that's the impatient side of me. 

My boyfriend, who is from the Midwest even claims its cold, so I promise I am not just being a pansy. It is the coldest WA has been in 15 years! Where is the snow?! That is all I'm waiting for.

Lately I've been living in oversize sweaters and cardigans, scarves, thick socks and boots. That pretty much sums up my wardrobe, unless it's a holiday party I refuse to wear anything but. :)

Gridlock Print

And we are only a couple of days away from Halloween… how is that possible?! Have you guys ever been told "life goes by extremely fast after high school?" I didn't believe it then but I definitely believe it now.

Which means you should wear whatever you want, however you want, whenever you want. :) This sweater I wore today was not a popular choice by my friends or boyfriend for that matter but I just fell in love with the print. So I bought it anyways! :)

Welcoming Fall

Happy Fall dolls -- here comes the layering, scarves and boots! Can't say I'm excited about the cold, but I am excited for fall fashion.

It's been getting really chilly here in WA and it's only October. At this rate, I hope we have a white Christmas! Here is what I wore yesterday.

One of my favorite things about fall are the changing colors of the leaves! I love the reds, oranges, greens and yellow that all blend together and then scatter all over the road. It's definitely giving me some inspiration for future outfits.
