Casual Friday

Thank you sweet baby Jesus it's Friday! That means I get to sleep in tomorrow. :)  Every Friday at work we get to dress it down and keep it casual. This Friday I kept it casual with some boyfriend jeans, and added a blazer to keep it work appropriate.

I am such a fan of boyfriend jeans, and lately they have been my go to. Sometimes I dress it down with just a sweater and some flats but I'll leave that for another day. :) Happy Friday my loves!

Taylor Swift Inspired

Who isn't a huge fan of Taylor Swift? Granted everyone has an opinion about her dating life but aside from that, she is an amazing artist. She's a relatable 23 year old girl who is searching for her knight in shining armor, just like the rest of us. Regardless if you support her or you don't, I'm pretty sure you each know one of her song by heart -- heck even my boyfriend likes to sing "we are never, ever getting back together!" :D

The inspiration for this outfit is off of her Ked's Campaign for Brave girls. That alone, is wonderful. She stands behind the definition of girl power and staying true to yourself. What a powerful message!

Valentine Outfit ♥

Happy February my loves! I love dressing up and getting ready for a sweet date night, but in WA it can get so cold sometimes that all you want to do is wear sweats, sweaters, and tons of layers. But Valentine's Day is right around the corner and even with the weather, you've just got to get a little creative. :)

Re-vamping the old...

It's amazing what you can find when you do a little spring cleaning... This entire outfit was put together from pieces that I thought I lost but ended up in the back of the closet.

I hate those days when you stand and stare into your closet and feel like you have absolutely no clothes, when there is a closet full of clothes staring back at you. That was probably the reason I felt the need to search high and low, front and back in my closet to find pieces to re-vamp. When in doubt, use your old pieces in new ways. :)

My entire outfit was purchased at least 2 summers ago, so I'm not sure if I can find the pieces again. But everyone has a cute summer dress they can pair with a sweater! Who says we can't wear dresses in the winter?? xoxo

Channeling the Kennedy's

Hello my loves! Sorry I've gone MIA lately, but I'm back. I got suckered into starting the Grey's Anatomy series... No thanks to my friends and Netflix and I started last Sunday and am now on season 6! So... my time has been a little occupied but I am back. :)

I've been avoiding the rain but today, I thought I'd just throw in an umbrella and embrace my city! I am in love with this jacket I got from H&M and it reminds me so much of the Kennedy's style. Tweed jacket paired with flared jeans to keep it casual and sweet.

Winter flare

I feel like with the new year, there should be some changes... Maybe not drastic ones quite yet but I woke up this morning thinking "I should cut my bangs." And... in a few minutes, I found myself with straight across bangs. I haven't had these since elementary school.. but I think they are growing on me.
